Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf will collect turkeys to hand out for Thanksgiving. You can drop off on Friday, November 21st from 3:00-5:00 pm or Saturday November 22nd from 7:30am-8am. They are asking for 10-14 pound turkeys. Address is at 1618 Jackson Road. Prices as of 11/17

December club meeting is Tuesday, December 9th from 5-6:30 at Shadow Lake. Our speaker is from SpiritNYS founded by Mary Thompson and her husband that aids to prevent high school dropouts for home insecure teenagers in the City of Rochester. Please bring non-perishable food and deodorant for the teenagers. We will collect it at the meeting and present it to SpiritNYS. As always will collect toothpaste for our food pantry shelf at each club meeting. Tis the season to be merry! |

The "Waste Not" committee of Color Penfield Green has organized a Christmas tree pick up on January 10th to try and increase the participation in the mulching of trees that the Town of Penfield offers. Penfield Rotary will be helping to load as many trees as possible on January 10th. Go here to sign up to have your tree picked up. https://www.colorpenfieldgreen.org/ It will be great to see less trees going to the landfills and being turned into valuable mulch instead. Also collecting items for our February service project for the homeless teens in the SpiritNYS program. Suggested items are jerky sticks, chips , cookies. Deodorant and axe body spray are most appreciated. Bring the items to the January and February meetings. We will fill 60 bags for Spirit NYS at the end of our February Meeting. |

Join us for a tour, education and pizza! The Penfield Fire Company is comprised of 100% VOLUNTEERS of both men and women from the local community of Penfield. The Penfield Fire Company operates within the Penfield Fire District which is roughly 30 square miles that covers a majority of the town of Penfield along with parts of the town of Perinton.The fire company member’s supply fire suppression, rescue operations, supplemental medical support and various other services to our community whenever called upon. We respond 24 hours a day 365 days a year to help anyone in the community during a time of need.The Penfield Fire Company is supported by the generosity of donations from the community. |

Applebee's Pancake Fundraiser @ Fairport location - This year our pancake breakfast is on March 22nd from 7:30am-10:30am (where we serve from 8-10). Since the scouts are not allowed to handle the hot coffee, the Rotarians have been amazing at making and serving coffee for the scouts.

About the Nucor House Welcome to the Nucor House, a sober living facility operated as a part of Warrior Salute Veteran Services. The Nucor House, named after benefactor Nucor Steel, is fully furnished and includes all amenities for its residents. DISTRICT LEARNING ASSEMBLY What is it and Why attend?
The District Learning Assembly is designed to educate Rotary members who have been selected by the president elect to take on important club leadership responsibilities in the coming year. In addition, the assembly also welcomes participation from all other members—whether they are new to Rotary or have longstanding experience—who wish to enhance their understanding of Rotary's mission, programs, and best practices. Members gain valuable knowledge and information that will enhance their effectiveness in serving their clubs and communities. The program is structured to foster growth, increase engagement, and strengthen commitment to creating positive change through Rotary service.
