29th Annual Penfield Charity Golf Tournament!On Monday, September 27, 2021, the Kiwanis Club of Penfield-Perinton Foundation, Staff Volunteers from the Town of Penfield and Penfield Rotary Club will be hosting our 29th annual Charity Golf Tournament at Shadow Lake Golf Club. This tournament is held each year to raise funds to help local organizations that provide services to the residents of our community. Proceeds from previous tournaments have benefited the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, Mary Cariola, Penfield High School's Don Mack Scholarship Fund, Penfield Shepherd Home, Bethany House, Villa of Hope, Scouts, Penfield Little League and various local food pantries. |

PRC Collects School Supplies for School 54Penfield Rotary Club collected school supplies for Rochester City School #54 on Otis Street. Club Members gathered at Mary Ann Mady's house to fill over 100 individual book bags with donated school supplies! Rotarians Mary Ann Mady and Nancy Aumann will deliver all the supplies collected to School #54 next week. The Club has had a school supply drive each year for the past several years as part of our mission to promote literacy in the Greater Rochester community. This year, Girls Scouts from Troops #61001 and #60219 helped us with collection and assembly of the school supply bags. |

Penfield Rotary Scholarships Now AvailableThe Penfield Rotary Club is pleased to offer two scholarships for Penfield High School Students. One scholarship is for any Penfield High School senior who meets the criteria for this one-time scholarship. The other scholarship is specifically for a Penfield High School senior who is completing a program at Eastern Monroe Career Center. Scholarship applications and criteria for each of these scholarships is available through your high school guidance counselor and can also be downloaded from this website. |

PRC Members Support Boy Scouts at Pinewood DerbyPenfield Rotary Club teamed up with Pack 9 Boy Scouts to help with their Pinewood Derby. On Friday evening, Feb. 1, Rotarians helped "tech" the cars in preparation for Saturday's event. The next morning, we helped out at the refreshment area-- we were able to free up Scout parents to stay with their Scout while we took care of coffee and bagels. See our photos on Facebook! January Club MeetingOur January club meeting featured five students from Penfield High School present their speeches for the District Oratorical Contest. Each contestant presented a five-minute speech on how they plan to live their lives based on the four-way test. Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? |

December Club Service ProjectOur December Service Project had our club singing carols and ringing bells at Panorama Plaza for the Salvation Army. We were helped by three wonderful students from Penfield High School and we even got a visit from Mrs. Claus!

Penfield Rotarians Attend Inspired by Water SeveralPenfield Rotarians attended Inspired by Water: Celebrating 15 years with Salva on October 14th. This festive event brought together longtime supporters, new friends, and passionate advocates to share in the successes of Water for South Sudan over the past 15 years and to look forward to the many years to come. Penfield Rotary has been a strong supporter of this organization since its inception.

November Club Meeting at EMCCOn Tuesday, November 6, Penfield Rotary Club held their November Club Meeting at Eastern Monroe Career Center in Fairport. EMCC teaches approx. 600 students from several area high schools. The Eastern Monroe Career Center offers programs in areas such as culinary arts, health care assistant, criminal justice, auto repair and many more. The programs combine real-life learning experiences, academic skills and business and industry partnerships to prepare students for future education and employment.
